King George V Plate aka Queen's Plate

The correct name for this trophy, presented to the Club by King George V in 1928, is the King George V Plate. Recently we have sailed for this trophy on a low water race during the OASC day of the North West Norfolk Sailing Association week long regatta - but no more.

To mark the 80th anniversary of the presentation of the trophy, we will be holding an anniversary Open Race on the River Great Ouse in King's Lynn on Sunday 5th October, starting at 10.00 (High water is at 10.22).  There is no entrance fee to visiting sailors and the race will be followed by a small buffet and presentation of specially commissioned trophies and other prizes in the Ferry Lane clubhouse afterwards.

Further details can be obtained from the Sailing secretary - Mr D Baddeley on 01945 780095
